Scrummy chocolate and peanut squares
Ingredients
- 4 oz plain chocolate
- 2 rounded tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter
- 3 teacupfuls of rice crisps
Instructions
- Lightly grease a shallow square baking tin. (It doesn't have to be square but it might help when it comes to cutting).
- Half fill a saucepan with hot water
- Place a basin over the top of the saucepan (so the heat can melt the chocolate)
- Break the chocolate into small chunks into the basin.
- Add the peanut butter
- Leave in basin until the chocolate has melted.
- Stir the mixture to blend in the peanut butter.
- Remove the basin from the heat and add the rice crispies
- Use a wooden spoon to stir the mixture until the rice crisps are completely coated
- Spoon the mixture into the greased tin, spread evenly and press down firmly (using the spoon).
- Leave in a cool place (like the fridge).
- Remove from tin and cut into squares.
